CHAPTER EVENTS

12 November @ 9.00PM – 10.00PM

We are wrapping up the WiPM Pink October/Movember series with sharing from Ms. NK Valliammai Nagappan (Valli).

Valli has been a breast cancer survivor for 17 years and has been undergoing treatment for a recurrence for the past two years. She shared her journey of a cancer battle and advocated for cancer awareness. Her life leaves us with adoration of her mindset with the inner strength to move on. Her advice on handling cancer patients is essential for the audience to practice daily as a patient or caregiver. To wrap up the session, we announced the winners of the Pink October & Movember virtual run held across October.

Happy International Volunteer Day to all PMIMY Chapter Volunteers!

Today is a special day to celebrate volunteers who give their time and energy to make a positive impact on others. We salute all volunteers for their compassion, commitment, and dedication to making our world better!

IVD 2022 theme this year is solidarity through volunteering. Volunteering is where compassion meets solidarity. Both share the same root values – supporting each other from a position of trust, humility, respect, and equality.

We celebrate the spirit of volunteerism. We are proud of all volunteers who are role models in their communities by working together in solidarity and personifying inspiration in action.

Together, we’re stronger.

Together, we create change.

Together, for the common good.

Together, we make a difference.

Together, we find solutions.
