Herley is the PMI Malaysia’s Disciplined Agile Champion. A certified PMI Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM), Herley has led Agile Transformation at bp (British Petroleum) within Asia Pacific region. Herley has also built a strong reputation largely in Project Management, Continous Improvement and LEAN Management in the last 20 years in Fortune 100 companies including Shell and ExxonMobil.
Herley is also the author of the book, “Living With Meaning”, a collection of personal stories that reflects Agile Living – one that responds to changes to improve the value and meaning in life. In his second book, “Leaving with Meaning”, delivered in short two sprints, Herley also shares his personal stories on Servant Leadership. Also known as AgileRider, Herley is also a regular speaker at PMI Malaysia and other international conferences and international universities such as Heriot Watt University, Nottingham University as well as delivering talks to senior leaders at some of Malaysian Government Agencies and local GLCs. Many people in the industry also describe Herley as an IT person with unconventional human touch who brings in life stories at personal level to make organizational global digital transformation a more meaningful journey.
In February this year, Herley was one of the panelists to speak on “Navigating the Unpredictable 2021 with Agile Mindset”. In this session, Herley, being the first to be certified DASSM in Malaysia will share his journey in Disciplined Agile and how DA can be useful in managing the current VUCA world in relations to Pandemics.
