ProjectVerve2: Empowerment Through Event Excellence
This face-to-face event is a Social Impact initiative under PMIMY’s PM Skills for Life Program. This initiative provides Chapter Members an opportunity to volunteer their time and effort to give back to society by sharing their project management knowledge and skills.
The objectives of this event are:
- to help educate the youth/student volunteers of AIESEC Johor about project management skills, especially in the context of organising and managing AIESEC’s volunteer project events.
- to ensure students/youth volunteers of AIESEC Johor know how to apply the project management skills learnt via the workshop.

Wan Syamilah Wan Ismail, PMP, PRINCE2
Speaker Details:
Wan Syamilah is an energetic HRD Corp Certified Trainer, Project Management Institute (PMI) Authorized Trainer and a speaker particularly on project management. She is currently the Vice President for External Training & PMO Services Delivery in The eCEOs Sdn Bhd, responsible to oversee the company’s talent development and extending the services to the corporate, government, universities and public sector. She is also looking into the project delivery improvements and performances to ensure that the right project management methodology and culture is in place.
She was previously attached to Sapura Secured Technologies Sdn Bhd (SST) as the Head, Centre of Excellence in the Program Management Office (PMO) to develop higher talent competency and ensure the project team adhere to the project management best practices and standard operating procedure. Prior to SST, she was attached to FGV Prodata Systems Sdn Bhd as the Head of Project Portfolio Management Office and FGV’s certified internal trainer. Being a PMP certification holder, she had more than 20 years of working experience across multiple and diversified IT projects in the financial services, telecommunication, plantation, transportation, and defense industry specialized in software implementation, business intelligence, infrastructure design, and managed operation services
Her passion in knowledge sharing and giving-back to the community has led her to actively volunteer in the Project Management Institute Malaysia Chapter (PMIMY), the world’s largest not-for-profit membership association for the project management profession, currently holding the Ambassador post in the Corporate and Government Outreach Tribe. While serving her terms, she was invited to speak about ‘Project Management in Everyday Life’ in Malaysia (2018) and in Philippines (2019). She also attended the PMI Asia Pacific Leadership Institute Meeting, PMI Region 15 Meetings and represented Malaysia to the Annual Symposiums across Asian countries.
An energetic, positive minded, and exceptional interpersonal communicator, Wan Syamilah is also an avid hiker/mountain climber, an adventurous outdoor enthusiast and a true born ‘nature freak’.
