To plan or to execute? This is the million-dollar question faced by all project managers. The recent pandemic on top of digitalization has caused so much of uncertainties, and everyone is reacting to it in different ways. While some businesses still prefer robust planning of projects, others are focusing on speed of execution and delivering results incrementally. Hence, with such mega trends, do Project Managers stick to the Traditional method or adopt a more Agile method?

This session covers the importance of project management as a whole. The session will also cover both the traditional and agile project management, including identifying the correct methodology for the correct situation.

Speaker: Tarminder Singh

Tarminder Singh is a Project Manager attached to Malaysia’s leading Developmental Financial Institution. With over 10 years of experience in project and strategy management, across a wide range of sectors, Tarminder brings a level of breath and depth that is rarely seen. Tarminder has hands-on project management experience in various types of projects; compliance, operational and transformation project.

Academically, he is well-armed in both the business and project management field. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance (Hons) from Lancaster University. Subsequently, he pursued the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and an MBA specializing in Strategic Management. He is also a certified PRINCE2 Project Manager and a certified PRINCE2 Agile Project Manager.

Tarminder has held numerous speaking and training engagements with the PMI, CMI and other local training organizations. He believes that project management should be embodied in the DNA of any organization and requires a blend of science and art in ensuring projects are executed successfully.
